Simple, straightforward, tasty and well-run! This product is part of the Dr. Pepper/Snapple group and the folks at this booth were greeting, pouring, and sampling up a storm. http://www.mxressentials.com/
We also sampled a million different octopii (slight exaggeration) but absolutely adored the taste and servers at Octopus Garden. It's tough to make this sea creature look attractive, but this team did it!

The best way to attend this show is HUNGRY! Lots of free samples and an eclectic mix of snacks, equipment, services. This year featured a huge Japanese section. We also noticed LOTS and LOTS of bread! One would never know that Americans are carb-conscious these days. But our favorite booth of this year's show had to be the grilled octopus on the panini press. Not only was the food delish, but the guys who served it up were all smiles and service! Lots of tentacles...lots of taste.....

We love seeing CEOs, and in this case self-proclaimed comic book writers/artists, dedicating their time to adoring fans and selling their work. These trade show rock stars/divas man their booths for many hours and play an active role in representing their companies to prospective clients and of course, those crazed fans out there. Archie Comics have sold 1.5 billion copies worldwide in many different languages, it is no wonder Dan Parent, the artist of the Archie Comics, is our rock star. He beg...

The newest, not necessarily the coolest trends buzzing in the comic world
Women superheroes. As much as it sounds great, it’s not. We have seen our fair share of sex appeal rather than heroism.
Girls Go Glam Rock: Bandai's K-ON, a four-girl band based on a comic series about a four Japanese high school girls who join their school’s light music club to save the abolition of music. They definitely rocked the floor!
High priced comic books: There were numerous comic boo...

Head- Turners: these are our eye-catching, money-making, irresistible booths AND costumes…
Intel Extreme Masters turned heads with their race car games, video game championships, and even Guitar Hero!
Marvel made a splash at Comic Con with crazed fans lining up to meet their favorite superheroes. Anyone who’s ever worked at Marvel, at least almost everyone, showed up for a signing. Just on the first day alone, there were 22 famed actors awaiting signatures.
The Red Demon was a defi...

We dedicate this section to the creative masterminds who went above and beyond the traditional comic book. These are the booths that made us stop in our tracks and take notice.
The Art of Brick was a site to see. A large-scale sculpture was built just using toy building blocks. Bricks are definitely the new clay.
Origami Comics: Ken Wong of Comics Art Rash immediately stopped us in our tracks with his cool and trendy way to package comics. Comic book, can you tell us our fort...

Since Comic-Con is considered the cirque-du-freaque of shows, we had to sift through what was "normal" and what was well..plain inappropriate.
The winners are..
Desparate Salesmen. (No, I don't want to buy your porn comic, no matter what you drop the price to.)
Eating at the booth (This is not a food show... and Javits has a food court for a reason!)
Booths with no one in them.
Dressing like a super-hero when you haven't been to the gym in five years. Spandex is unforgiving, d...

Two sections are necessary here: Head-Turners and Big-Bang…Small Budget.
Head-Turners: Striking, eye-catching, irresistible booths. Money well spent for these exhibitors!
El Paso Chile turned their booth into a bar and attracted audiences with their brightly colored drink-mixes used as décor.
Parking Permitted! The "car in the booth" is always a traffic stopper.
Twinkle, twinkle little booth. Flashing lights adorned a basic banner. What a beautiful way to shine on the floor!
