  • Women superheroes. As much as it sounds great, it’s not. We have seen our fair share of sex appeal rather than heroism.

  • Girls Go Glam Rock: Bandai’s K-ON, a four-girl band based on a comic series about a four Japanese high school girls who join their school’s light music club to save the abolition of music. They definitely rocked the floor!

  • High priced comic books: There were numerous comic book store displays on the floor of the show; however, we took notice when a fan asked how much a specific comic was. The amount? $4800.

  • Character Not Actor. A long line of eager fans were waiting to get their autographs taken. We were curious as to who the actor was. When we asked, the person responded, “It’s Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I don’t know the actor’s name.”
  • Wear a costume, win an entourage. A man in costume says to another, “I am getting a lot of attention here! It is really nice.
